Lowe Profero Expands into Chengdu
Lowe Profero, the digital arm of Lowe and Partners, has increased its Greater China footprint with the opening of a new office in the South Western city of Chengdu.
The new office is Lowe Profero's fourth in the region joining Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong in cementing its position as a key player in the Asian digital economy.
An extension of Lowe Profero's existing Beijing operations, the new office will provide a technical hub within an expanding and economically crucial province of South West China.
An initial team of ten team members will focus on providing global marketing technology solutions for international brands, expanding Lowe Profero's technical expertise in the region. The team is looking to grow rapidly in line with existing Asia Pacific operations.
Lowe Profero's Managing Director for China Jackie Xu Rui said the opening was another big leap forward for the agency's global digital production offering.
"We are constantly working to bridge the gap between creativity and technology, allowing brands and consumers to explore new possibilities and discover new experiences using the latest web and mobile technology," she said.
"Opening in Chengdu gives us expanded capacity, offering world class digital production solutions across all of our network in a more cost effective way," she added.
Lowe Profero's co-founder and global CEO Wayne Arnold said whilst maybe an unexpected choice, Chengdu was a perfect location for the agency's local and global aspirations.
"We see this new office as a logical extension of our Asian strategy, complementing our already strong network in China and across the region," he said.
"We have been operating in China since 2006, a legacy that allowed us to identify Chengdu as a logical next location due to its increasing significance as a social, economic and technical hub," he added.
Chengdu is one of the most important economic, transportation, and communication centres in the booming region of South Western China. The area currently has over 160 million residents, with over 15 million living in Chengdu. The last decade has seen the city become increasingly popular with international companies with more than 250 Fortune 500 companies establishing themselves in the region.
